Welcome To Nazrul Aadhoyan Kendro

About Nazrul Adhoyan Kendro

Nazrul Addhoyan Kendro, also known as Study Center, was established in Durgapur Upazila, a border area of Bangladesh, to promote education and self-awareness among children and youth, particularly those from underprivileged Garo and Hajong ethnic communities. The center’s slogan, “Reading stimulates self-awareness,” focuses on providing opportunities for young people to read thought-provoking books previously lacking in this region. Nazrul Addhoyan Kendro offers free access to around 4,000 books, including stories, novels, essays, science books, and books related to the Liberation War. To further encourage intellectual development, cultural heritage preservation, and discussions among children and youth, Nazrul Adhoyan Kendro also hosts art exhibitions, publications, and music discussions.

Success story of our Nazrul Aadhoyan Kendro

Since its establishment, Nazrul Adhoyan Kendro has interacted with 1,800 children, youth, and their guardians from the local community. As a result, the children and youth have gained a better understanding of critical thinking, their rights and responsibilities towards family, society, and the state, as well as the development of culture. This has strengthened their commitment to honesty and beauty. The caregivers have actively participated in various events organized by the Nazrul Adhoyan Kendro  to ensure the holistic development of local families, including education and healthcare.

The caregivers have kept their promise of support, with almost 90% of the funds being disbursed. In honor of Independence Day, Nazrul Adhoyan Kendro distributed 1400 books to children and youth, priced at only 10 taka each, between October 2020 and August 2022. They collected feedback from the recipients and arranged for rewards and certificates accordingly. The organization has also set up a library or magazine reading area in a local saloon for children and youth to access. This initiative has helped educate around 1100 children from the community.
